Packing is no fun

Until i finish storing everything in these giant bins i bought, my room will be stuck looking like this! The day is growing closer, only a couple weeks now until the car door opens and I'm kicked out onto the curb! After the demise of my little purple car things just haven't been the same. I miss it a lot. Steven Shaw and Mathew Grayson came down to visit this week form Washington. It was wonderful to see them again. They brought a sense of home with them. I think they are still in Provo at the moment but soon they will be back in Salt Lake ready to play with Steph and I. I love my friends! I guarantee Steph hates that i put this picture up, but that's okay it shows the team.

The end has come for some..

First i need to congratulate and say goodbye to someone who has been with me through it all. Someone who knew just how to let me escape from my worries but then suddenly decide that i should be left where i have escaped to. This dear friend of mine has battled through many hardships upon which i think none could have survived. Of course i refer only to 610-PEH. That's right she's done, my little purple fat car is no more. The engine has gone into an endless slumber. So thank you for all the good times! I honestly can't believe you've made it this far. You started your journey in 2002 and your journey should have ended in 2002. Alas! You stood up and said No! No i will endure through the last child in this family. I could have done with a few more weeks but i guess i can only be grateful for the time we've had. Behold the greatest car to have ever crossed the highways!

Just something new to look at..

I feel as though no new blog posts have been written in any of the blogs i look at. This frustrated me a little until i realized i never post anything on my blog. I really don't want to make videos but maybe one will slip into my life in the cove in the near future. SUPREESE!!

Well I want to talk about something that has meant a lot to me this last month. Stephanie worked at a charter school and was an aide for the second grade class there. She basically was a teacher without having a degree. Very cool! I stopped by one day just to have lunch and maybe meet the kids that Steph had talked about all the time. I'd seen many pictures and heard many stories about all the different kids. Well I went expecting to be there for 30 min. I walked in and introduced myself as Mr. Jordan, as Steph is Miss. Stephanie and the teacher is Miss. Rachel. Anyway, I met the kids and they were all so fun. After a little bit i felt like it was time for me to go. Not because i wanted to but i felt my welcome was up. I started to walk out and 3 kids seemed upset that i was leaving without saying goodbye! "Where are you going Mr. Tall Man?!" I said, "I'm going home." "But we want you to stay!!" they all said.

At that point I was going nowhere, It was so great to spend the rest of the day walking around as they worked on their little projects just talking to them. I am hear to tell you that i fell in love with all these kids! I loved being their with Stephanie and helping in whatever way i could. I would go to school with Steph any day that i had off work. I'd get up at 7:30 every morning so i could be at Steph's house at 8:30 in order for us to go together. I spent so much time with these kids, they made such an impact on my life. I never knew how much i loved being in a classroom full of kids until this. With all the cute little girls that all wanted my attention and the boys that i later found out looked up to me. One little boy in particular, Dominick was someone that I'll miss very much. Miss Rachel the teacher was thrilled to have me come volunteer whenever i wanted and was also very excited for me to work with Dominick and some of the boys that needed help. His Dad left his family when he was younger and lacked a male influence in his life. Miss Rachel told me that i really made a difference in his life.

I went to a baptism for one of the kids. This was wonderful because Stephanie and I walked into the church building and the Kayden, the boy getting baptized, was in the middle of getting his picture taken an ran over to give us a hug yelling, "Miss Stephanie! Mr. Tall Man!!"

The kids performed an opera with music they wrote themselves. It was so much fun being apart of these kids lives. The last day of school was this past week and i know that Stephanie had to say goodbye to the best job and i too had to say goodbye to the best kids I've ever met. They truly made an impact on me. I love them all so much. It was so sad on the last day when we each had 5 kids just bawling their eyes out saying how much they would miss us.

Here is a picture of all the kids but before that i would like to give a list of all of my wonderful nicknames i acquired from the kids:
Mr. Jordan
Mr. Tall Man
Mr. Thomas
Skyscraper
Fancy Pants
Mr. Biggy
